Sunriver Stars Community Theater is thrilled to be back on stage for the 2025 season celebrating 13 years of theater magic!
SSCT was founded in 2012 with the mission of providing quality, family-friendly entertainment and education opportunities for Sunriver and the surrounding communities. For over 12 years, SSCT produced 40 main stage shows, presented six children’s drama camps, and has supported local performing arts programming for youth and adults.
We look forward to continuing our mission to provide outstanding live theater productions in our fabulous community, bridging the gap between old and young, trained thespian and amateur artist!
Children’s Playwright Contest
SSCT’s first ever children’s playwright contest will provide local playwrights the opportunity to craft their original stories and bring them to life on stage. This contest is open to local central Oregon youth, 10-19 years old.

Welcome to the Wild West, 1890. When a young scholar from New York city travels to the western frontier in search of a new life he arrives beaten and half-dead on the dusty streets of Twotrees. Rescued from the plains, the town soon becomes his home. A local girl gives him purpose in a broken land, but is it enough to save him from the vicious outlaw who wants him dead? He must make the choice: to turn and run or to stand for what he believes, to live or to fight; to become the man who shot Liberty Valance.
