“Hansel and Gretel” is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in 1812 as part of Grimms’ Fairy Tales. Hansel and Gretel are siblings who are abandoned in a forest and fall into the hands of a witch who lives in a house made of bread, cake, and sugar. Unfortunately, the children soon learn that the witch wants to bake in her oven more than just cookies!

Adults and children will work together to bring this wonderfully entertaining version of this classic tale to life.

As a gift to the community from the Sunriver Stars, this play is FREE for anyone to attend!

ADULTS:

Will you audition to be the hard working yet cheerful father or the frazzled yet loving mother?

Do you see yourself as the colorful Gypsy, or the ethereal Dew Princess?

What about as a grumpy troll or the Gingerbread Witch herself?

CHILDREN:

Will you play the always hungry Hansel or his serious big sister, Gretel or one of their many friends?

What about taking on those mischievous goblins Frick and Frack or the talking Owl?
