2024 Season

Sunriver Stars Community Theater is thrilled to be back on stage for the 2024 season celebrating 12 years of theater magic!

SSCT was founded in 2012 with the mission of providing quality, family-friendly entertainment and education opportunities for Sunriver and the surrounding communities. In its first 11 years, SSCT produced 37 main stage shows, presented six children’s drama camps, and has supported local performing arts programming for youth and adults.

We look forward to another decade in our fabulous community; bridging the gap between old and young, trained thespian and amateur artist!

Broadway performer Patrick Osteen will be facilitating a FREE acting workshop, “So You Want to be an Actor?” at the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic and Recreation Center. This workshop is presented in collaboration between Sunriver Stars Community Theater and Sunriver YOU.

Register now, seating limited!

In this modern-day retelling of Homer’s epic Iliad, a world-weary poet narrates the wrenching, timeless tale of the Trojan War, the bravery of its characters, and the consequences of its battles. Poetry and humor, tales of war, and the modern world all collide in this captivating theatrical experience shared by a single actor. An Iliad is presented in collaboration between Sunriver Stars Community Theater and Rhinoleap Productions.

April brings another exciting opportunity to our community with the SSCT Fundraiser “La Diva” featuring international opera star Nancy Emrick performing one night only. Experience Bach to Bocelli like you’ve never heard it before. Enjoy the show with champagne and appetizers, and help support Sunriver Stars Community Theater Building Campaign.

Prepare to laugh the night away as we invite you to become our ‘live studio audience’ and witness our own parody of “The Golden Girls” television show.

Our annual FREE Kids Drama Camp is back for its 6th year. This year’s camp will feature teen programs including an Advanced Theatre Creative Workshop and a Tech Workshop, while our children’s performance camp will focus on basic acting, singing and dancing skills through our Theatre Foundations Workshop.

What does it mean to live in a society that promises a lot but guarantees nothing? Sunriver Stars Community Theater is proud to present Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize winning tragedy, Death of a Salesman. Follow the story of Willy Loman – an everyday, aging, travelling salesman – as he struggles for success in search of dying promise of the American Dream.

Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are back again with a series of adventures along the Mississippi River. Considered one of Mark Twain’s finest stories and bristling with satire, thrills and drama, Tom and Huck are joined by their friends, Duke and King, in an epic adventure apprehending con artists and turning trouble into opportunity.

SSCT is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and is always looking for those with a love for performing arts to join its cast, crew and board.
