Victoria Kristy
Artistic Director and Founder of the Sunriver Stars Community Theater, Victoria has a background as an educator, having taught kindergarten and art at the elementary school level for 25 years. She also has been directing school theater productions since 1970. Victoria also served on the board of Tacoma Musical Playhouse and acted in a number of their productions. Upon retiring to Sunriver, she looked around and said “What does Sunriver need?” and thereupon recognized that there was no community theater. So with an idea named “The Sunriver Stars Community Theater”, enthusiasm, and determination, she set about to recruit a board of directors and establish a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, all-volunteer theater on a shoestring in 2012. The Stars are now thriving and shining bright in Sunriver.
