Sunriver Stars Scholarship

The Sunriver Stars Community Theater Scholarship Program is designed for those students who have been involved in SSCT programs and productions including children’s summer camp, whether as performers or as backstage crew, and are seeking to further their education and development in live performing/theater arts including technical aspects of theater. Award amounts can be up to $1,000, and are primarily designed for those going on to college or other higher education programs, but the SSCT Scholarship Committee will consider other specialized programs as presented.

The Scholarship is open once a year starting on January 15 and all parts of the application must be received by Sunriver Stars not later than June 15 of that same year to be considered. Award decisions will be announced by August 1. This Scholarship Program is meant to encourage those with an interest in theater arts to continue their education.

THIS YEAR WE ARE PLEASE TO AWARD OUR SCHOLARSHIP TO TALON CONFER

SSCT Board President, Robyn Hansen and SSCT Artistic Director, Victoria Kristy were honored to present a $1,000 Scholarship check to TALON CONFER, this year’s recipient of ‘The Rising Star’ Award!

Talon began performing with SSCT as a fifth grader, taking on the role of Dickon in “Secret Garden”. He performed with us over several seasons and soon spread his wings joining other local casts and enrolling at Redmond Performing Arts , where he had the lead in many of their shows.

Talon graduated with Valedictorian honors and is heading off to Chapman University to major in film.

We couldn’t be more proud!
